Sleeve

Early  issue single album cover in sensational condition. Front lamination has a gorgeous thick coat with a glossy sheen. No rips or tears . Trifold flipback reverse and ULTRA clean. Ernest J Day manufacture. Spine near perfect! NO laminate lifts! One crease on front face. Slight lift on upper left flipback. Light surface damage miniscule on lower edge. Not come across much better than this. E X C E L L E N T ! Impossible to locate such a divine example of this massively collectable album release.

Audio

What a gem of a vinyl. Extra loud cut engineering heard at its ultimate best! Astronomy Domine kick starts this monster, and the channels are truly sensational. The tones are delivered clearly with a sharp definition. The stereophonic perspective is awesome ,transmitting an extensive range of dynamic sound like no other. The layered effect of the music is captivating and truly hypnotic, as Floyd’s ever repetitive revolutions of tones entrances the senses, culminating in a heavy trip of pulsating rhythms. Channels operate with minimal surface disturbance. A remarkable clarity seldom offered from this release!

The excellent standard is maintained throughout and the only blip on sound is detected side 2 track 3, in which there are 3 or 4 extremely light ticks/clicks  which are almost drowned by the music. Hardly noticeable but you need to know. Some surface between tracks but neither here nor there really ,and now I understand why this album is one of the most highly sought after album presentations in the collectors’ world, as the music from this Floyd release is simply awesome.

Complete with its original E M I advertising inner sleeve in very good condition. Three small seam splits on all edges. Ultra clean with no rips or tears.

Vinyl

Thick quality press and gives a buzz when held. Some light surface marks/ fine scuffs visible under a strong halogen/ordinary light but only cosmetic. Mirror like surfaces make this a fine specimen to view. A prize asset in any serious collection. Remarkable vintage , heavyweight giant!
