Offered for sale is an original U.S. mono pressing of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, the first album by Pink Floyd.
The U.S. mono release is far harder to find and has a different track lineup than the relatively common (but still expensive) UK release. The mono version features significantly different mixes from the stereo release.
About this copy: This copy of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn is an original 1967 mono pressing on the Tower label.
The cover is VG, with light general wear, a bit of fraying at the seams, and a worn spot just below the Tower logo on the front where a price sticker has been removed.
This cover has no seam splits and no cutout holes. The cover has a "6" in the lower right hand corner of the cover, indicating that it was printed at Capitol's Los Angeles pressing plant.
The disc is VG+, with a few spindle marks and a couple of scuffs from the original paper inner sleeve (included). It's quite clean, with no significant marks. The disc has a triangle with "IAM" in it in the dead wax, indicating that the disc was pressed at Capitol's Scranton pressing plant.
A nice copy of a very rare Pink Floyd LP.
