Description

An original 1st issue of THE WALL on the UK Harvest label from 1979. Matrix A3/B3/A3/B2. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a true and genuine 1st issue cover. Note how in the interior on the right hand panel, and directly above the 'baby in the cell' - there are NO band names in purple. All copies from 2nd issue would have exhibited these names in purple - every single copy. Also included is the original Floyd sticker on the front. And then there are both the original heavy-card round cornered inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl [D1 Ex-] [D2 Ex] The vinyl looks to have only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations on disc 1. Intros and inbetweens are mostly nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Mostly a clean player with not much to complain at. The only deviations are on Disc 1. "Mother" exhibits a few ticks and a bit more crackle than you'd like. The same can be said for "Don't Leave Me". Audible due to the fact that these tracks are particularly low-level. But these are just two tracks from around 20+. Given the rest of the Lp plays so well I'd argue it's a small price to pay and, still, a very appealing listen.
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition and might have graded higher, but for a couple of small marks. Front and back seem to have largely avoided the ageing process. There's a small mark down at the bottom right of the rear cover, but little else noteworthy. The interior looks great too - just a couple of small marks down at the foot near the spine. Edge wear is very limited and the openings still sharp. Overall the cover sits totally flat and retains perfect rigidity. 
  Inner (Ex/Ex-) Unaged and clean. One inner has a two inch split at the bottom edge. Taped up internally so mostly cosmetic now.
