Description

A 1st issue of the WALL on the UK Harvest label in 1979. Matrix A4/B5/A1/B6. 'TML-M/X'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note the original 1st issue cover is easily identified by the absence of the band members names in the brick directly above the 'baby in the cell'. All later reissues mention the band members names in purple in this brick. Also included are the original thick-card round cornered inner sleeves with notches at the top.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. If you are someone who is fussy about audio do seriously consider this LP. THE WALL is full of what is often very low-key audio and many copies suffer some sort of interference which can be off-putting with this title. We only detected a few light crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Overall an impressive rendition with lovely clean audio throughout. Not just a good rendition this is a GREAT rendition and is without doubt one of the best I've witnessed.
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition and front and back are almost totally free from ageing. The interior looks great - with no issues. Edge wear is very light and the openings are still sharpish. The only sign of wear is a 1.c.m. section in the middle of he top-edge [nothing remotely obvious]. The spine looks very nice too. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex/Ex-) One one inch side split. But otherwise in excellent condition.
