Description

A 1st issue of the WALL on the UK Harvest label in 1979. Matrix A2/B3/A3/B3. 'TML-M/X'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note the original 1st issue cover is easily identified by the absence of the band members names in the brick directly above the 'baby in the cell'. All later reissues mention the band members names in purple in this brick. Also included are the original thick-card round cornered inner sleeves with notches at the top.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of lights marks either side, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. If you are someone who is fussy about audio do seriously consider this LP. THE WALL is full of what is often very low-key audio and many copies suffer some sort of interference which can be off-putting with this title. We only detected a few light crackles in a couple of isolated moments - it really is a stunning rendition. THE WALL remains a classic album and the audio on offer here will knock the socks off of anything you've heard before.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition and missing out on the top grade only due to that nick on the rear. Front and back are in great condition with just light handling wear. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is mostly light and the only the only vaguely noticeable issue is a ding at the bottom of the spine - which is showing as a slight compression. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a lovely specimen.
Inners (Ex) No splits or ageing. Nice!
