Pink Floyd Ummagumma LP UK 1st Press "Gand Vizier" Super AUDIO [Ex+/Ex-]

Description

An original very 1st press of UMMAGUMMA on UK Harvest. Matrix A1/B2-A1/B2 [very 1st cut]. 1-RG/2-GH 1-RP/1-GP. Please note the label perimeter text mentions 'Gramophone' and the EMI logos are absent [correct for 1st press]. There is another indicator of the earliest copies - there's an 'R' missing in the track 'THE GAND VIZIER'! The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with both original generic white inner sleeves. Also, please note the cover is the earliest possible iteration with 'Londen' spelling error on the rear. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A beautiful looking slab of vinyl - very shiny has clearly seen only the very lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Don't underestimate a grading like this on this fussiest of PF titles. Approaching nearmint records are an extreme rarity over this passage of time. Finding one like this on Ummagumma is very significant as this is the only scenario in which a near perfect rendition is possible. It plays beautifully clean throughout. Even in the supper fussy moments - it plays very very clean with only the slightest static rustle occasionally noticeable e.g. "Sysyphus" & "STCFTHOTS" "A Domine" etc...There's only one moment that I would describe as a deviation from the given grading. Right at the start of the opening to side 1 [disc1] - there's some synth chimes/chords as the track comes in. I'm detecting a bit of intermittent static in/amongst those chimes. As the volume rises and the track starts for real - anything in the background disappears...and it goes clean. Not sure I've ever witnessed a cleaner, or consistently clean copy to be sure. So, this LP comes very highly rated.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition with a nice flat and clean front and rear. A couple of thumbnail creases front and back that's all. The interior is very nice and clean with only slightest signs of handling. Edge wear is very slight and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is largely intact with text 99% legible. It has taken a slight knock right in the middle [no big deal. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) Light ageing. Barely a split.
