"The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn"
The Pink Floyd debut is finally back on vinyl
The vinyl lovers among the Pink Floyd fans have been waiting eagerly for this. The rock legends are gradually releasing all of their albums as LPs. The band's first four records will kick off in June 2016, including "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn".
"The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is Pink Floyd debut album. The plate was originally launched in 1967.
The recordings were made at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. At the mixer sat Norman Smith, who also worked as a sound engineer for the Beatles. "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is the only album they recorded without their future front man David Gilmour. Instead, band founder Syd Barrett directed the musical writing and recording.
The highlights on "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" include the songs "Astronomy Domine", "Lucifer Sam", "Matilda Mother" and "Interstellar Overdrive".
For the new edition, all songs on the album by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman were completely remastered.
At the same time as "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn", the albums "A Saucerful Of Secrets", "More" and "Ummagumma" were also reissued. All reissues appear on 180 g vinyl. The cover artwork is always the original design.
With "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" there is the legendary first album by Pink Floyd for the first time in over 20 years as an LP, on 180 g heavy vinyl.
