No EMI box on labels confirms a very FIRST press of this HUGE ROCK classic!!!

Awesome and massively RARE!!!!

Sleeve printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse-the very first gatefold with matt front/reverse covers.Slight wear to lower edge, spine and corners. Nice clean copy as most of these have grown dirty and faded. This one is unfaded and colours remain strong and vibrant.Excellent sleeve with very little ring wear on reverse which is quite unusual for a fragile cover of this age.Opens to excellent inner faces giving an overall excellent presentation.

Labels

Excellent example of the very earliest Harvest labels.Without the EMI box which confirms THE very first pressing of this monumental Pink Floyd release!!!Fantastic condition proudly displaying the yellow/green Harvest format with "The Gramophone Co."”in the upper case round the perimeter.Will please any collector.

Vinyl

Visually an excellent grade with only a few surface marks detected under ordinary conditions and when angled against a strong light.Thick and chunky with a heavy weight feel which was characteristic of the very early pressings.Gives you a "“buzz” when held as you realise that this is so rare, a Pink Floyd very first press.Best I have seen for many months!

Audio

As all Floyd fans know, the audio presentation on this vinyl requires at least a very good grading and this record easily meets this criteria. The music is soft and gentle with many silent interludes. These channels hold up extremely well and would definitely grade very good but mostly excellent for some parts of the record. Any interference is heard distant and does not detract from the enjoyment of the music. It is certainly the best musical presentation ever heard with the strange eerie contortions and atmospheric electronics that weave and buzz from speaker to speaker. There are some pops and crackles but they appear to fade into insignificance as the hypnotic tones of the music take over your senses!!

The awesome phenomenal dripping tap is heard at the end of side 2 which absolutely confirms that this is the very first press as it will sound forever if one did not have the automatic arm on the turntable to terminate its sound!!!!!

Truly awesome record. Will soon become impossible to find- very good/excellent audio presentations are getting scarcer so don’t let this one get away!

A sensational album on offer here. The very first press of Atom Heart Mother by one of the best rock groups in the world,without a doubt.Becoming very scarce in this condition and will be hard to match.Sleeve, labels and vinyl in excellent condition and an audio,for the most part, conveying warm, mellow tones with a sharp definition with the minimum of background noise.Superb!
