Please Please Me by the Beatles.
PMC 1202
XEX 421 1N/422 2N
Fifth UK mono pressing from 1965 to the best of my knowledge. These are distinctive due to the Times New Roman typeface on the labels.
Firstly, the record:
Visually great. A light sign or two of use with some spindle wear but it has generally aged very well. There is no deep impact damage.
It's fine as it is but would go up a grade with a professional clean.
I've play tested it & it sounds as deep & warm as a good bath like these heavyweight sixties mono copies should. The run ins are quiet, there are no skips or jumps & really not much deterioration in sound quality at all. A lovely example.
Secondly, the sleeve:
Garrod and Lofthouse flipback.
Generally clean on the front but a little grubby on the back. Sadly the spine has slightly worn out so the title is only half legible but other than that it's not too bad.
The original emitex inner is here too in lovely condition.
I've made a couple of low visibility repairs to both the sleeve & inner with acid free archive tape.

These sixties copies are rocketing in value at the moment so here's your chance to get a nice one at a reasonable starting price.
