Pontiac Breakaway Theme Radio Promo/Jingle 45 Steve Karmen 1968 GQP-1780 RARE
Recently picked through a stack 1960s Detroit-related radio promos and grabbed the most interesting of the lot. This is a promo record produced for GM's Pontiac brand circa 1968. The last copy of this on ebay did quite well, but I believe it was due to being labeled "Northern Soul." While this does generate interest and sales I think it's a bit disingenous in this case because it is quite clearly horn-heavy jingle music that was popular during this era, and not the product of a small label soul band.
The record is pretty well marked up, but appears playable. I'm not currently wired up to test it out. Target audience is more likely Pontiac/automobilia collectors rather than vinyl collectors in the market for a pristine copy. Any questions at all, please ask.
