Puccini Girl of the Golden West Tebaldi Capuana SXL 2039 /41
Renata Tebaldi, Mario del Monaco, Cornell Macneil and Georgio Tozzi with the Chorus and Orchestra of Accademia Santa Cecilia, Rome conducted by Franco Capuana perform Puccini’s opera “Girl of the Golden West”. A three record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2039-41). The labels have full frequency stereo sound fatband and ffss logo, Original Recording… at 10 o’ clock and a groove. Thee records are of excellent appearance, and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. Apart from a few tears along the spine edge, the box and libretto are immaculate.
