Description
Pulp - My Legendary Girlfriend 7"
You are bidding for an original first edition of Pulp's classic My Legendary Girlfriend on Bob Stanley's [Saint Etienne] legendary Caff label;
Jarvis signed the sleeve outside the back of Manchester Uni on
27/4/1994 on the His 'n' Hers UK Tour (ticket included in sale)
This was shortly after the release of their film
Do You Remember The First Time? and at the height of their powers!
only 500 copies of this single were ever made on this label.
It includes the insert from Bob which states:
Pulp. From Sheffield. Sex City. And yes,
that probably explains why 'My Legendary
Girlfriend' is such a bottomless pit of
seething sauciness. This version was
recorded live with a so-called friend of
the group whining his little head off at
the front. A uniquely tense performance.
On the reverse side we have 'Sickly Grin'
(complete with tape deterioration) from
1982, and a fine rocker called 'Back In
LA' from 1985, where Pulp let off steam
after the miserabilism of the 'Freaks' LP.
