Queen came fully formed and hit the ground running on their eponymous debut LP and almost every one of Queen's signatures are already present, from Freddie Mercury's operatic harmonies to Brian May's rich, dense, orchestral guitar work.
That rich, florid feel could be characterised as glam, but even in these early days that appellation didn't quite fit Queen, since they were at once too heavy and arty to be glam and — ironically enough, considering their legendary excess — they were hardly trashy enough to be glam.
But that only speaks to the originality of Queen: they may have traded in mystical sword 'n' sorcerers themes like so many '70s prog bands, and they hit as hard as Led Zeppelin and they didn't sound like anybody else.

Clean, unmarked labels with just a few light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT++
Both vinyl surfaces retain their original deep glossy with just some harmless wispy hairlines visible under bright light
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT+/NEAR MINT
Play-checked at loud volume it sounds sensational - just a touch of minor surface/light background ticking was noted on the quiet sections of "Doing All Right" (nothing major) otherwise, nothing else to fault the strong, deep and powerful sound
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
Just about the finest example I have seen of this delicate, thin and untreated first press cover. The edges and spine are completely unworn - just two soft creases to the opening edge reducing the grading from NM
