QUEEN "A Day At The Races" 1976 EMI 1st UK PRESS EX-/EX
This record has been fully test played on quality hi-fi to give accurate grading. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system. I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks

Details:- . Here we have an original December 1976 1st UK pressing of Queens classic album 'A Day At The Races.' The matrix numbers are very first pressing YAX 5245 - 1U / YAX 5246 - 1U (with "STERLING" stamper). The record comes in the first issue gatefold sleeve with extra wide spine, internal lyrics, factory sealed down the left edge and comes complete with the first issue die cut inner sleeve on extra thick card. The record has all ways been kept in separate audiophile anti-static sleeve
RECORD CONDITION - This record has had only two or three plays maximum. Visually this would be a near mint record but has one visible broad surface mark on one side and on the other side there is one totally non-audible hairline. Both of these marks marks are shallow in depth and have no effect on play whatsover. So in strict grading terms the visual grade would be an EX minus however the play grade is NEAR MINT. The record plays through with outstanding sound quality. There are only a couple of very mild soft pops throughout the record. Anything else is so quiet as to be barely audible. TOP SOUND QAULITY. Fully test played on Garrord 501 prototype, Rogers E40a Valve amp and Quad ESL 57 Electrostatics
SLEEVE CONDITION - EX (This sleeve, being black and umlaminated, is prone to show wear and scuffs very easily. This is one of the better examples. There is only very mild white speckling and some wipe marks on the surface where the sleeve has been wiped probabaly with a tissue with a tissue. There are NO splits, NO edgewear, NO ringwear and NO unwanted writing or stamp marks of any kind

Grading Abbreviations
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
