We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   MINT-   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the VERY EARLY 1975 pressing  - Stored from new this LP has seen possibly a COUPLE of plays only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere.

IT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE FROM START TO FINISH AND ALL THOSE QUIET PASSAGES ARE IMMACULATE..

WE HAVE NEVER HEARD A BETTER COPY..THIS REALLY IS A STUNNING EXAMPLE.

This  pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is virtually no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

There are a few light whisp lines,and a couple of tiny hairlines on each side, this in no way affects play at all and thats it-  nothing else!   Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

SURPLUS WAX AROUND THE CENTRE HOLE!

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves - The critical quiet spots in 'LOVE OF MY LIFE', '39' , 'PROPHET SONG' 'BEST FRIEND',  etc all sound incredible..

THIS REALLY IS AS GOOD A COPY OF 'OPERA' WE HAVE EVER HAD IN FACT.

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

On our travels we have learned this about 'A Night At The Opera'..

this is the first press as described. -2 -2 matrix , Thick vinyl, square spine embossed front with no crest credit.

second pressings had later matrix numbers, 'crest credit' added on the bottom left of the artwork.

Third presses had a rounded card inner and thinner vinyl.

After this it went to a thinner glossier sleeve, rounded corners and thinner inner..before being deleted in the mid late 80s after it was re-issued on EMI 'Price Attack' label.

 This is in SUPERB condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean. MOST COPIES we see are always worn and suffer terrible ring wear.. and dirty thumbed scuffing

The edges are all super clean with no real traces of rub, at all , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition -

THE WHITE CARD IS STUNNING WITH BARELY A HINT OF DISCOLOURATION ANYWHERE

One tiny ink spot above the crest..and one tiny little blister line of around 3mm  on the spine top

the tiniest of tip rub.

The spine edge is straight with no scuff or squash

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -like new in fact! superb.

We cannot add any more than this! ITS A BEAUTY!

THE INNER SLEEVE   EX

 THICK CARD LYRIC   ORIGINAL SLEEVE WITH THUMB SCOOP-& CORNER CUT..IT HAS SOME LIGHT SPIDERING AND A FEW LIGHT CREASES, SOME LIGHT EDGE RUB AND RING PRESS

NO SCISSORING THO!
