Queen : At The Beeb A1/B1 1st Press 1989
This first pressing from 1989 is in fantastic condition and from the audio to the cover it cannot be faulted. Both sides play with stunning precision with a sonic quality that is second to none.
Released on the Band Of Joy label this official release has been preserved so well and is a final upgrade time-warp classic.
The cover is in superb order and still has that 'as new' feel like it has hardly ever been handled. The same applies to the original inner sleeve.

Visual grading
The vinyl is visually stunning with no marks or scratches and I cannot detect any hairlines either. The run out grooves are very clean with only one faint 'mark' on S2 and the labels have only a couple of very faint spindle traces on each side.
Play grading
There is no need to grade each track individually as they all play to the same sublime standard! As always I have played both sides in full and I can confirm the audio plays with stunning clarity and depth throughout. Arguably you could say S1 is Mint as I heard only a couple of light ticks and there is certainly no intrusion on the audio - no clicks or pops and no underlying static either. The quieter sections also play with incredible precision. S2 is of the same 'high end' standard and again the clarity is stunning.S1 was in fact recorded at the BBC before they had even signed a recording contract and it certainly provides a fascinating insight into their early 'live' sound i.e. Roger singing a verse during 'Doin' Alright'. S2 has a Brighton Rock interlude during 'Son And Daughter' and this track is by far the 'heaviest' version I have heard.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The cover has been so well preserved down the years and I am sure many would grade it as Mint. There are only a couple of very small and faint scratch lines near the top edge on the back cover. That's it! I am perhaps being too picky but I like to point out any 'imperfection' even if minor. The edges and spine are perfect as is the opening edge and the front and back cover are incredibly clean also. A stunning example.
The original plain white die-cut inner is near perfect with no side splits or tears and no creasing. There is just one very small faint mark.
Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers
This record has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
