Innuendo A2/B1 (UK release)

This original UK 1991 pressing of Innuendo plays exceptionally well with only very minor interference here and there.  This is one of the rarer first pressings in that S2 has the B1 matrix, most are B2.  The cover is also in excellent condition.

The audio on Side One is Near Mint-

The audio on Side Two is Ex+

The cover is Ex+

The lyric inner is Ex+

The labels are Near Mint

Visual grading

The vinyl has a few faint hairlines with slightly more on Side Two.  These are caused by sleeve removal most probably and has very little affect on the audio which as detailed below plays extremely well.  For a 26 year old vinyl it is very clean and whilst there is some spindle wear it is not excessive.  Getting rarer to find in this condition.

Play grading

The title track begins with only a hint of lead in static.  It then proceeds to play with stunning clarity and volume and whilst the quiet 'Spanish guitar' section plays with a little static it does not detract from the excellent audio here.  The remainder of the tracks play with a quality that belies the age of the vinyl.  They play with Near Mint audio such is the breathtaking quality, practically Mint if I'm honest.  There is just light static between each track.

I heard just a hint of barely audible static during 'All God's People' and '...Days Of Our Lives' and also one faint click on the latter but they are both still a fabulous listen.  I would say there is some static/faint crackle in the background on the rest of the tracks also but in my opinion is not particularly intrusive.  This is more obvious I would say during 'Don't Try So Hard' and 'Bijou' but don't let this put you off.  I am just honest in my grading and the warmth and clarity of the recording is still of an excellent standard and easily grades as Ex+.  The classic 'The Show Must Go On' ends the LP in supreme style.  Play it loud!  There is no distortion on this vinyl that you so often find and only has a little crackle towards the end.

Cover

The cover has been superbly looked after and is very nearly in Near Mint condition.  So often these white covers are discoloured but this one has retained its 'whiteness' incredibly well.  There are only three minor marks on the bottom left of the front cover and minimal pinching on the corners of the opening edge.  The edges and spine remain in superlative condition.  The back cover is beautifully clean with only a couple of tiny marks, barely worth mentioning really!  This is certainly one of the cleanest first press covers you will find.

Lyric inner

The lyric inner is in excellent condition with only a couple of minor creases and an extremely small split on the bottom edge.

The labels

They are very clean with no marking/writing and not a great deal of spindle wear.
