Jazz 1U/1U (1st Pressing with Poster)

This first pressing is absolutely stunning and is one of the best I have ever listened to.  It includes the infamous poster which is in near perfect condition.

 Visual grading

  This is one of the cleanest 1U/1U pressings I have ever seen.  Under a strong bright light I can only see a handful of tiny hairlines and there are certainly no scratches.  There is one barely visible mark on track two of S1 but has no affect on the audio.  This vinyl has been hardly played as I cannot see any spindle wear at all and it still has that lovely glossy sheen of new vinyl.  It looks immaculate, a fantastic example.

Play grading

There is no lead in static to 'Mustapha' at all which is so rare!  It then plays with audio that just has to heard to be believed.  'Fat Bottomed Girls' plays with the same quality apart from one light click near the beginning.  The remainder of the side has audio of the highest standard also with just the odd dust tick.  You can find this on new vinyl let alone one that is nearly 40 years old!  The clarity of the recording is just so good and for the vast majority it plays as new which is so rare on a 1U/1U pressing.

'Dead On Time' plays with no interference and again is 'as new'.  The quality is astounding and for such a loud track to have no distortion is so rare.  'In Only Seven Days' has two light clicks at the beginning with no further interference thereafter and 'Dreamers Ball' plays...like a dream!  No clicks, pops, crackle the audio is superb.  The audio on the remainder of the side is of exceptional quality also with just one click on the 'Don't Stop Me Now' intro.  The sound quality here will not disappoint and for a vinyl of this age to only play with a 3/4 clicks and practically no other interference is an incredible rarity.

Gatefold Cover

This gatefold is extremely clean with only minor shelf wear.  The edges and spine remain in excellent shape with only a minimal amount of rubbing.  The front cover only has a very small amount of spotting but is very clean overall.  The back cover has a some 'greying' on the white areas but is definitely cleaner than the majority you will see.  The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and the opening edge has only a minor amount of handling wear.  This is without doubt one of the best examples you will see of this iconic cover and of course being a first press it has the embossed 'Jazz' logo on the front.

The heavy duty card picture inner with rounded corners is in superb condition with only absolute minimal rubbing on a couple of areas around the edge.  And I do mean minimal!

The labels

These are in perfect condition with no spindle wear or marks/writing at all.

The Poster

It has been separated from the gatefold but remains in superb condition with no rips, tears or marking.
