Queen : Jazz 1U / 1U 1st Press with Attached Poster
This first pressing is without doubt one of the finest I have ever heard. Not known for its production the clarity and definition is nevertheless so impressive and there is barely any interference. The vast majority is Mint you will be pleased to hear! The vinyl is visually stunning also.
Not only that but for once the poster is still firmly attached to the cover, a genuine rarity. The gatefold itself is in excellent condition with only minimal wear. The picture inner is in superb condition. A truly stunning album.

Play grading
S1 is stunning! Having played every track in full the quality of the audio is exceptional and the vast majority plays 'as new' with a clarity and definition that is rarely found on the first pressings. The opening track 'Mustapha' has only one light static but otherwise plays with incredible precision i.e. no other 'background' not even a dust tick. The classic 'Fat Bottomed Girls' is Mint with no interference and the remaining tracks do not disappoint either. Even the quiet 'bell ringing' section during 'Bicycle Race' has no 'background' which is such a rarity! Another Mint track. 'If You Can't Beat Them' has a couple of light clicks on the intro but otherwise plays perfectly. 'Let Me Entertain You' ends the side with very powerful audio and only a minimal amount of the inner groove distortion that you always find.
'Dead On Time' plays loud and true with no intrusion and grades as Mint for sure, a superb start. I am delighted to say every track track on this side is immaculate! 'Fun It' has only a couple of light ticks but aside from that S2 is as perfect as you would want it to be! The clarity is amazing and there are no clicks or pops at all. What a side!
Visual grading
The vinyl is in beautiful condition and has been so well preserved down the years. It has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen and has no marks or scratches at all. It is also very difficult to locate any hairlines it is that clean! I can only find a handful on S1 but they really are so faint and totally insignificant. I cannot detect any spindle wear either and I suspect this record has hardly been played. Stunning!
The Gatefold & Poster
The embossed G&L cover has kept its original look very well and is so much better than most you see today. The top edge of the front cover has a small wear 'line' but it is not a split! The bottom edge just has a little rubbing towards the corners. The edges of the back cover are in perfect order and the spine just has a little wear at either end and a small number of creases and white specks but remains 100% legible. The right hand corners are very clean and have barely any wear and the opening edge has no handling wear at all. The front cover is in lovely condition with only very minor fading near the spine and some faint creases near the top edge, they really are very faint! There is one mega tiny 'nick' next to the opening edge. The back cover is stunning and has no marking or fading. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and overall I would grade this as a very strong Ex not far from Ex+ if I'm honest.
The attached poster is in superb condition with no tears or creasing and has probably hardly ever been opened.
The Picture Inner
The glossy inner is nigh on perfect with no marking, side splits or creasing. There is just one tiny 'rub' on one side.
The Labels
They are close to perfect with no spindle wear, marking or writing and only a couple of 'specks' on the S1 label.
