Queen : Made In Heaven A2/B2 1st Press Cream Vinyl Limited Edition (Complete)
I recently purchased a stunning Queen collection among which three copies of this album. The previous owner just collected records for 'fun' basically and did not play the vast majority of them and I suspect that to be the case with this one. The clarity, depth and warmth on both sides is stunning and only the first track on S1 has some very light 'background' for the first few seconds. The vinyl is also visually stunning.
The gatefold is also very impressive with very little shelf wear and the lyric inner (with no 'Heaven For Everyone' lyrics as per the first pressings) is in fantastic condition. The small advertising flyer just has a couple of very light 'spots'.
With international shipping (including Europe now) I will declare a lower amount so as to decrease/avoid any Customs' fees.

Visual grading
The vinyl is in beautiful condition and still retains a lovely glossy sheen. There are no marks or scratches and I can only locate a couple of very faint hairlines. There is no spindle wear and the labels have no marking apart from one of those common scuff marks near the spindle hole on the S2 label.
Play grading
'It's a Beautiful Day' has a little static on the intro as is common but has more or less disappeared by the time you hear the 'birdsong'. There is also a very brief quiet 'buzz' sound, I can't really describe it any other way! The vocal then plays so clearly with no interference, just a handful of barely audible dust ticks. The intro is Ex- but the remainder is Mint- for sure.'Made In Heaven' then plays perfectly with literally no intrusion and 'Let Me Live' is of the same 'high end' standard with not even a single dust tick to be heard. The clarity and depth of the audio on both cannot be faulted and Mint is easily deserved.
The intro on the classic 'Mother Love' plays with stunning precision and it continues in the same way. There are no ticks, clicks or pops and for a relatively quiet track the clarity is outstanding. The end section is sublime and the 'baby' sounds like it's in the room! Another Mint track.
'My Life Has Been Saved' ends the side with great clarity and for once there is barely any inner groove distortion. Mint-

The intro on 'I Was Born To Love You' has only very minimal static for 4/5 seconds and it then plays with tremendous power and depth with...no interference. Mint-
The quiet intro on 'Heaven For Everyone' is nigh on perfect and the first vocal is as 'clean' as it was back in '95. This quality is maintained as you progress into the track and again there are no ticks, clicks or pop and no underlying static. This album is arguably over-produced but there is no denying the clarity here. Another Mint- track.
The classic 'Too Much Love Will Kill You' plays beautifully with no intrusion. I detected only a couple of barely audible static 'moments' but they are so much in the background as to be totally negligible. This is one of the finest versions I have ever heard and Mint- is again an honest appraisal of the audio.
'You Don't Fool Me' is 'as new' from start to finish with no 'background' at all. Mint
'A Winter's Tale' plays to the same standard with not even a dust tick and the reprise of 'It's A Beautiful Day' plays with great clarity from the get go. The intro is so 'clean' with only a handful of mega quiet dust ticks and by that I mean barely audible! Hardly worth a mention. It continues to play with breathtaking quality and there is no sign of any interference. The powerful end section is so strong and deep - this track provides a Mint- end to the album without doubt.
In summary this first pressing plays with sensational quality and only the S1 intro has a little 'background'. Even then though it is kept to a minimum and does not last long! The remainder of this very collectable album could not play with any greater precision and the clarity and definition of the audio is up there with the best I have ever listened to.
The Gatefold, Posters & Lyric Inner
The cover is in great condition with barely any shelf wear. I guess the most obvious thing is a wavy bend in the top right corner which affects the corresponding area on the back cover but it is certainly not a major problem though. The edges have only a couple of tiny 'specks' and the wide spine is perfect. For once there is no corner wear and both opening edges are pristine. The front cover is close to perfect but it did have a small price sticker on it which I removed. It did have 'paid' written on it and this can also be seen faintly on the cover itself. The back cover are pristine as is the inside. Both opening edges are also untouched.
The three posters are in superb condition with no rips or tears and only the Brian one has some very faint blemishes on the back. The lyric inner is practically 'as new' and the flyer has only a couple of minor 'spots' but no creasing.
Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers
This record has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
