News Of The World 1/2 (First Pressing)
On offer here is an excellent first pressing of 'News of The World'. The audio on S1 in particular is stunning with only a little interference on S2.

Visual grading
The vinyl is in wonderful condition and has been hardly played due to the lack of spindle wear. S1 is pristine and looks as new. S2 has a handful of hairlines on track one for some reason and a couple of other fine hairlines. Overall though for a first pressing it remains in exceptional condition.
Play grading
Side One begins with almost zero lead in static and 'We Will Rock You' plays with stunning dynamic power and no interference. 'We Are The Champions' equals this standard with Mint- audio, rarely have I heard better. This quality continues and 'Sheer Heart Attack' plays perfectly with incredible power and no distortion. 'All Dead All Dead' does have some very light intermittent static. However, it is not intrusive and still plays with wonderful clarity for such a quiet track. 'Spread Your Wings' again plays with no interference and is a stunning listen. 'Fight From The Inside' ends the side with superb quality with only a hint of static in a couple of places.
'Get Down Make Love' does have some raspy static per revolution due to the hairlines on this track. The second half generally plays better with less interference. 'Sleeping On The Sidewalk' plays as per Side One with great clarity and depth and no intrusive 'background' whatsoever. The version of 'Who Needs You' here is immaculate and plays with almost Mint quality audio. Again it plays in stunning fashion for such a quiet track. The classic 'It's Late' does not disappoint either and there are only a small number of dust ticks, something you will find even on new vinyl. There are no loud clicks or pops at all. 'My Melancholy Blues' does have some light static and a few light clicks here and there. However, whilst it doesn't play perfectly the interference is largely in the background and the audio still plays very clearly with no intrusive crackle.
Gatefold cover
The G & L gatefold is of excellent quality with only some light rubbing on the edges and wide spine. The corners have a little rubbing also. The actual cover is extremely clean and the inside is immaculate. There is a very minor white mark top left on the front cover. Overall though this gatefold remains in great shape with only minor shelf and is better than so many you see.
Lyric inner
The die-cut lyric inner is in excellent condition and is very clean with no marking or creasing. It is notoriously difficult to find an undamaged one due to it being made of paper and this one only has one thin 5cm split on the left side.
The labels
They are both in immaculate condition with no marks/writing and almost no spindle wear.
