Please note:
Unlike all my other listings I will not be play testing these lps as most appear to have never been played. I will also not be cleaning them as I believe this would more likely do more harm than good due to their near immaculate nature. Rest assured however that they are of course not dirty and look stunning.
This box set is in a near mint condition.
The box itself(which is numbered 05520) has no splits, pen marks or serious issues and would grade as near mint. There is little to no wear to the edges and corners. There is no serious marks or stains/scuffs with just the odd minor mark or small indentation showing. There is slight crease to the top right corner(see pics) but this not hugely serious. There is also some minor grubbiness or age related fustiness to the inside of the box. Mostly in the corners/edges of the lid. Other than these few minor issues there is little to mention and overall it is really nice condition for well over 30 years old.
The three inserts(Complete Works Booklet, Queen Tour Itinerary 1971 to 1985, Queen Map of the World) are all in nice condition and show minimal creasing or signs of handling. There is minor signs of handling and general light signs of storage to all but no serious issues such as tears or pen marks.
All 14lps are in a similar near mint condition with next to nothing showing. There is a couple of spindle marks on record 1 but most show none. No labels have damage and all of the playing surfaces have a lovely lustre. There are of course no nasty marks/scratches and most sides are spotless. I did see one faint and minor line on record 1 but this is near enough the only record with anything showing, and it is incredibly light and faint. Overall all 14 lps show minimal signs of use and age.
I have checked the lps for warping by placing them on my system for a brief moment and there is nothing extreme on any side. There is however a fraction of upward movement on some sides. This is at a very mild level on all sides and will have no affect on play but I felt I should mention there will be slight movement on some sides. This is mostly due to the record having sat in the box for the last 30+ years no doubt.
All 14lp sleeves are in a similar near mint condition with no wear, splits, tears, pen marks or anything to report other than the odd most minor and slight mark. They all include their original poly-lined inners which are again clean, strong and near perfect(apart from record 1 which has two small tears to the central window of the inner).
Overall a superb item which appears to have barely been played or used and has been stored carefully so as to avoid damage or wear.
The box set will be packaged very carefully when dispatched.
