This a rare vinyl test pressing of Quincy Jones' Sounds...and Stuff Like That!! album. The jacket and sleeve definitely show their age but are still intact with no split seams.The vinyl is in excellent shape. Please take a look at the photos and ask if you have any question. I doubt that this record has ever been played many times if at all.
This record features an amazing assortment of talent accompanying Quincy including Ashford & Simpson, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, Luther Vandross, Eric Gale, Steve Gadd, Ralph MacDonald, Bob James, Herbie Hancock, Hubert Laws, Tom Scott and Michael Brecker among others. Released in 1978, this was Quincy's first platinum album in the United States.
The album spawned the Top 40 hit "Stuff Like That" which peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 while making it all the way to the #1 spot on Billboard's R&B chart. The album also included versions of two songs that had been Top 40 hits for other artists -- Stevie Wonder's "Superwoman" and The Doobie Brothers' "Takin' It to the Street."
