"FOR THE RECORD" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISCS FROM THE COLUMBIA BROADCASTING SYSTEM. ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THESE TWO 16 INCH, ONE SIDED, BLACK LACQUER ACETATE, 33 1/3 RPM DISCS. THESE DISCS WERE RECORED BY THE CBS FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, VERY RARE
"For The Record" radio program from August 7, 1944 starring Gene Krupa & His Orchestra with Barry Wood, Peggy Mann, Lillian Lane & The Escorts. This broadcast features the first radio performance of Gene Krupa's "Brand New Orchestra". It is mentioned that all of the songs performed on this radio program will be pressed onto V-Discs and sent to our troops overseas
