Description

"ONE NIGHT STAND" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC.  ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC.  THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS  JUST AFTER WORLD WAR TWO AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!   

This disc is from the One Night Stand "Fill" series.  These discs were issued to Armed Forces stations as stand-by programs and would only be played in case any of the discs from the regular series were damaged or otherwise unplayable.  These discs are much less common than discs from the regular One Night Stand series

"One Night Stand" fill program #108 from June 5, 1945 featuring Tony Pastor & His Orchestra from The Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA with vocals by Ruth McCullough, Dick Dyer & Tony Pastor .  Songs include "I'm Gonna Love That Guy" vocal Ruth McCullough, "The Lamp Is Low?", "Laura" vocal Dick Dyer, "Sweet Lorraine", "In Apple Blossom Time" vocal Tony Pastor, "Indian Love Call", "There Must Be A Way / All Of My Life" vocal Dick Dyer, "Bell Bottom Trousers" vocal Ruth McCullough, Tony Pastor, "This Is It" (incomplete due to closing announcement)

Program was meant to be broadcast to servicemen overseas, Excellent World War Two Era nostalgic broadcast!   Program is complete and 30 minutes

Disc is in EX- Condition with EX-/EX Sound, Beautiful Disc!

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer only
