FRANK SINATRA "SONGS BY SINATRA" RAIDO SHOW EXCERPT 16 INCH, ONE SIDED, BLACK LACQUER ACETATE COATED ALUMINUM, 33 1/3 RPM DISC. THIS DISC WAS RECORDED FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. VERY RARE!
This disc contains the last approximately 7 minutes of the "Songs By Sinatra" radio broadcast of September 11, 1946. There is a piece of paper that suggests it's from September 1946 and I believe the exact date is September 11, 1946.
The disc starts during the song "The Man I Love" being played by Andre Previn. Frank Sinatra then states "friends, this wouldn't be a good meeting I think if I didn't get to do just maybe one more song, and this particular one happens to be my weakness". Frank Sinatra then sings "Begin The Beguine". There's a swoon of female fans as the song begins, and lot's of female screams after the song. The song is complete. The disc ends with a partial closing of the radio program
I could not find any reference to another copy of this program in any of the online radio logs that I'm aware of
Disc is in Excellent Condition with Excellent or better sound, Beautiful Disc!
Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables. For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer
