Here is a album from my collection offered up for auction: A RARE 1967 early press "big E" MONO gold label Lp album "The Doors" self-titled FIRST album by the Doors! This hard to find mono first pressing gold Elektra label, dead wax stamp reads "EKL 4007A-1A, EKL 4007B-1A. Great songs, different mix than the more common stereo version! Break On Through, Soul Kitchen, The Crystal Ship, Light My Fire, Back Door Man, The End and MORE!!! Released in 1967 on Elektra records EKL-4007 MONO. The record grades VG, is clean and glossy, has some light marks and a couple of small needle marks, has been play tested. Plays great from start to finish with very good sound quality, some pops (in The End and Crystal Ship), some light noise in the quiets spots, but no skips, no jumps, an enjoyable listen! The gold Elektra labels are in decent shape, faint numbers on one side, only moderate spindle wear. The cover rates a strong VG+, has good color, only light wear, no splits, no tape, no signatures, has ring wear, has light edge wear but edges and corners solid, has corner bumps, crease near opening. (see photos) Still a nice portrait of Jim and the band! Has the original vintage Elektra printed inner sleeve in excellent condition! (see photos). There is NO RESERVE PRICE!
