PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. THEE Original USA 1967 first pressing vinyl of a long time sought FUZZED-UP garage-psych gem ... loaded with cool diverse original tunes that still ZING some 45+ years onward....
With deep and meaningful lines such as "The bandits love your mind, and what remains of society is manure", you know you need the rest of the 1967 album by THE JELLY BEAN BANDITS ... The Jelly Bean Bandits were the premier teen freaks of New York’s Hudson Valley; just look at them on the LP’s great front cover! Most of the group members hailed from the Cornwall/Newburgh/New Windsor area, packing local night clubs regularly: New Windsor’s Trade Winds, Poughkeepsie’s Buccaneer Nightclub, and Burlington, Vermont’s Red Dog. Bob Shad’s Mainstream label released their only album in 1967. Some collectors refer to the album as a psych punk cult classic and we’d have to agree with them. Originally known as the Mirror, the Bandits signed a three album deal with Mainstream on the strength of a three song demo. They had one week to write the album’s songs, which would eventually be recorded in a 12 hour stretch at Columbia’s Studio “A”. There’s lots of fuzzed-tone fueled guitar led raw rock n roll to be found on the Jelly Bean Bandits’ sole offering. Tracks like “Tapestries”, “Say Man” and ‘Plastic Soldiers” are full of trippy organ work and the occasional sound effect but for the most part this LP is more raw garage than psych. “Generation” is probably the album’s classic cut and has been featured on the popular garage compilation, Pebbles. This menacing garage rocker has searing feedback and distortion, snotty vocals and thunderous drums. We can live without the one jugband tune but overall everything else is rightfully great. For our picks the best tracks are “Happiness Girl”, “Neon River” and “Poor Precious Dreams”, three terrific garage punkers with plenty of attitude and fiery guitar/organ interplay. So overall, The Jelly Bean Bandits is one of those garage platters that’s definitely worth owning.A

CONDITION: The Cover: solid and collectible, just very slight shelf rub around edges/corners (just light), also a stain just under Mainstream logo... the rest of the cover looks fine as a collection keeper, rated VG+(+)...collection worthy... bright original colors, no split seams, no faded colors, no writing....
The Vinyl: shiny over both sides, along with stray light hairlines (scuffs) nothing too much, visually is VG+ and plays pretty much in excellent audio zones, enjoyable, heard just a touch od surface, but nothing too much and mostly no surface at all...Both Mainstram labels are CLEAN
