PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! SCARCE...CLEAN....MONO Original 1967 first pressing of the famous first Youngbloods album, one of their most celebrated in that it contains the forever timeless Get Together ("C'mon people, smile on your brother everybody get together and love one another right now")
The RARE mono release offers different song mixes as well as a BOLD dynamic puch in the sound production, greatly differs from the stereo issue!

The sixties New York scene had the Lovin' Spoonful, who were the smiling popsters, the Blues Project had the traditional R&B/blues band, and the Youngbloods were the rock band. But they caught drift of that smell of incense and migrated over 3000 miles away to the San Francisco hippie scene and laid down the 'summer of love' anthem with their timeless 'Get Together' a song of love and peace. Sure, the album kicks off with guitarist Jerry Corbitt's "Grizzly Bear", a song about a dancing bear who has "gone to Frisco / to dance it there", but it is an exception. This album's tone is louder (the brash, distorted lead guitar on "The Other Side of This Life"), and darker ("Four in the Morning", even "Get Together" is bittersweet) and Felix Pappalardi's strong production gives the instruments a well-rounded sound and distinct edges. Additionally, the band avoids instrumental wanderings and this decision helps their more unusual blues covers ( "Ain't That Lovin' You Baby", "Statesboro Blues", "C.C. Rider"). Their songwriting is strong as well - Corbitt has two excellent lighter songs (the aforementioned "Grizzly Bear", and "All over the World (La-La)") and Young has a similar delight in "Foolin' Around (The Waltz)". Certainly the album's most famous track gives rise to the album's claim to fame with the hippie anthem, "Get Together" combines Young's smooth tenor, and Corbitt and Banana's guitar work into a measured vast sounding track. The Youngbloods really had it together on their debut (although Felix Pappalardi's production sure doesn't hurt also).
