Description
Here is a unusual album from my collection offered up for sale: The Doors album "Strange Days", released in 1967 by Elektra EKS 74014 Stereo. This is a 1st pressing with heavy vinyl, GOLD style labels and printed inner sleeve. This one is unusual because the cover is MONO (EKL) but has "Stereo" sticker on it. This is a scarce transitional piece when Elektra was using up old mono covers for their new Stereo discs, a great conversation piece! Music features hit songs "Love Me Two Times", "People Are Strange", "When The Music's Over" and more, a GREAT listen!
The vinyl rates VG, is clean and glossy, has many light marks but nothing heavy, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays very good from start to finish, a few light background pops, overall minimal surface noise, no skips or jumps and an enjoyable listen! DEADWAX EKS 74014A (MON-1) MR triangle 11050 and EKS 74014B (MON-5) MR triangle 11050-X The cover rates VG, is clean with only light ring wear, all seams solid but with rubs to color and top seam has been neatly taped, opening edge has wear with tiny rubs to slick, no signatures or writing, no stains. Paper inner sleeve clean with splits neatly taped. (see all 12 photos)
