Description
Here is a MEGA RARE MIS-PRESS vintage Beatles album offered up for sale: The Beatles 1968 self titled "The Beatles" or also known as "The White Album" this is a numbered EARLY 1st pressing with seven label errors on the Beatles' Apple label SWBO 101 (Stereo), number A1804673. Both discs have the Capitol logo in label perimeter print, "I AM" stamp in deadwax. The embossed title gatefold cover and 2 sided poster with song lyrics (no longer has photo inserts).
THE LABEL ERRORS
The songs on the first press Apple labels are mis-titled and incorrect! Reportedly very few of these got out before the factory error was noticed and quickly corrected! "The continuing story of Bungalo Bill" is mis-titled as just "Bungalo Bill". "Revolution 1" is mis-titled as "Revolution no. 1" as is "Revolution 9" mis-titled "Revolution no. 9", "Ob-la-di Ob-la-da" is mis-titled as "Obladi Oblada", "Why don't we do it in the road?" has NO question mark, "Good Night" is mis-titled "Goodnight" and finally "Rocky Raccoon" is missing a C mis-tited "Rocky Racoon" (this error is on all pressings).
The records grade VG+, are both super clean and glossy, have some light marks, nothing heavy, both PLAY TESTED. Play very good from start to finish, some light pops, no skips or jumps and a very enjoyable listen!
The cover rates VG+, has bright white with gloss, edges and corners have only very light handling wear, binder edge had split and is neatly taped but is still partly readable, top seam split neatly taped (somewhat unnoticeable), has a couple very light stains, inside gatefold is not split, no signature or writing, has been a well cared for 50 year old cover. Poster is clean and bright and looks unhung. (see all 12 photos)
Will be shipped in a .3ml plastic outer sleeve inside a secure record mailing box with tracking number. This item will be double boxed for extra protection.
