We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1974 and quite RARE as the ORIGINAL ITALIAN pressing in collection worthy condition... you won't likely find a better copy, very light signs of use is all ..it's basically a keeper collection item at 44 years of age and preserved!
Includes the customized inner sleeve = complete just as released!
Released the year after Le Orme's legendary grand progressive epic "Felona Y Serona , "Contrapuntti" delivers further explorations based on that albums sound yet dives deeper into the cosmic voyage::::
Things open with a haunting sound-scape creation, and then into "Frutto Acerbo", which sounds like typical early '70s Le Orme from their best period: gentle, expressive vocals, airy musical flights between the drums-keyboards-bass trio (always sticking to the foundation of the song), and very smooth transitions between parts. Then "Aliante" knocks all that down with an extremely cosmic approach and way-out sound effects. Weird headphone stuff to trip out to. Final track on side one, "India", recalls the eastern vibe of its title with eastern sitar voyages, in a cosmic interpretation by synthesizer tones, to the point that it becomes yet something else. Lots of interesting and exotic sounds swirl around on this one, marking it as a highlight of the album. Turn it over and you get a side that features one fairly traditional slice of Le Orme ("La Fabbricante D'Angeli"), a shadowy complex passage work-out called "Notturno", and the wonderful "Maggio". "Maggio" is nearly 9 minutes of the best Le Orme you'll ever hear. This is an epic slice of subtle musical motion (and a few colorful explosions!). It shows the adventurous, sometimes innovative spirit of this unique Italian band, and pretty much encapsulates all the great elements of this band in one track.
Overall 'Contrappunti' is a tightly-played, expertly-written, beautifully-recorded, dynamically- arranged album that is hard to find any real fault with.....
