Description

  • Promotional only issue, pressed in extremely limited quantities (exact number unknown - but probably around 100 copies).
  • in late 1966, a 13-year-old blind student named Christine Schumacher from Detroit's Wilson Junior High won a radio contest hosted by WKNR DJ Scott Regen. Her prize was to record a song at Motown with The Supremes. The recording session took place on December 15, 1966, at Detroit's Golden World Studios. The historic collaboration included the following details:The Song: Schumacher recorded the track "Mother You, Smother You".The Writers: The song was written by the legendary Motown team of Holland, Dozier, Holland, and R. Dean Taylor. Instead of the full trio, Supremes members Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard served as the backing vocalists for Schumacher's lead. I am not qualified to grade records - One side looks perfect the other does have a couple very slight marks.
  • Sold as is - U.S. buyers only.
