Description
There are several places where Louis Armstrong is talking to his band and the conversations are priceless! This OKEH Label is a hard to find label. The OKEH label has gone through about 12 different changes through the years. It went from about the teens to the 1960's. The Armstrong records that I have are early 1930's to mid 1930's. The songs are by Louis Armstrong and his Sebastian New Cotton Club Orchestra and Louis Armstrong and his Orchestra. There is one song that skips at one spot and the name of that record is "I'll Be Glad When You're Dead, You Rascal You. These records have been enjoyed and played a lot but they all still sound really good. The song titles and numbers are SOME OF THESE DAYS; WHEN YOU'RE SMILING #41298; MUGGLES; KNOCKIN' A JUG #8703; YOU CAN DEPEND ON ME; THE LONESOME ROAD #41538; MEMORIES OF YOU; YOU'RE LUCKY TO ME #41463; I'LL BE GLAD WHEN YOU'RE DEAD, YOU RASCAL YOU; WHEN IT'S SLEEPY TIME DOWN SOUTH #41504; INDIAN CRADLE SONG; EXACTLY LIKE YOU #41423; SHINE; JUST A GIGOLO #41486; THE PEANUT VENDOR; YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!; WRAP YOUR TROUBLES IN DREAMS; STAR DUST #41530; BODY AND SOUL; RING DEM BELLS #41468. The last record is on the label "RCA" and the two song names are THAT'S MY HOME and HOBO YOU CAN'T RIDE THIS TRAIN #24200. There are unbelievably great songs!!
