Description
Up for sale is an original 1966 pressing of Yesterday and Today by The Beatles.
This is the highly collectible “Butcher Cover” paste-over (Second State) with strong visible image beneath the trunk cover.
DETAILS:
• Authentic 1966 Capitol Records pressing
• Second State (paste-over) — original trunk slick still intact
• ST-2553 Stereo (more desirable and harder to find than mono)
• Scranton pressing (RIAA #2 on back)
• No peel attempt — completely original and unaltered
KEY FEATURE:
This example displays strong, clear butcher image visibility under angled light, including a clearly visible black V-neck shirt (Ringo area), which is one of the main indicators collectors look for.
Excellent contrast and bleed-through across the cover. This is a strong second state example, better than average.
CONDITION:
• Cover shows normal vintage wear
• Light edge and corner wear
• Minor creasing visible (see photos)
• No major tears or structural damage
• Paste-over layer remains intact with no peeling
