Description
Rare-to-market: "By Deeds Alone: The Official March of the 4th Armored Division," written by CWO Ernest Hoch and performed by the 4th Armored Division Band (44-piece) and Chorus (18-voice) under the direction of CWO Hoch. Recorded in Germany March 4, 1964 at the Stadthalle in Goeppingen. This EP includes two other pieces written and directed by CWO Hoch as well as "Hit the Leather," the official march of the 2d Armored Calvary which was written by Captain Meredith Willson while he served in WWII. Willson wrote the book, music and lyrics for "The Music Man" in 1957, so he was a highly recognizable name when this record was cut. This is a 7" 45 rpm record with paper inner sleeve and paper picture sleeve. Record is in excellent condition with minor surface scratches; picture sleeve is remarkable condition for its age and considering its bond which is only slightly heavier than the inner sleeve. Last recorded sale was in 2011.
Record will ship in its inner generic sleeve with the paper picture sleeve in a clear vinyl sleeve. Will ship FREE same or next-business day via first class or priority mail. The record will be placed in a regular 45 shipper which will be placed in a larger box for protection.
