Description
Here is a hard to find album from my collection offered up for sale: A MEGA RARE collectable vintage album "Billy Ward and The Dominoes", features Billy Ward's classic R&B style vocal with his own saxophone based band. Released by Decca in 1958 DL 8621 (mono), this is an original 1958 first pressing with the rigid disc and textured paper cover, has a book (Osbourne) value of $300-$500!! Deadwax reads MG5856 T1 and MG 5857 T1. Album has been very well cared for inside and out!
The record grades EX, is super clean and glossy, has only a few light marks, nothing heavy, looks minimally played! This vinyl has been PLAY TESTED and plays great from start to finish with excellent sound quality, clear sound with only a couple light pops, minimal surface noise, a VERY enjoyable listen! The black and metallic silver labels are super clean, have only a couple spindle marks! The cover rates EX, is clean and bright, great frame worthy portrait of Billy, minimal ring wear, edges and corners show minimal wear and are solid (top 1" partial split at top opening has been neatly repaired with glue and barely noticeable), binder edge is EX and readable, back has two small pen writing spots and two vintage stamps (one stamp is "Disc" making it possible to be a promo cover (disc jockey) but not sure, no promo labels, see all photos). Includes vintage baggie inner sleeve!
