Description
Here is a MEGA RARE female vocal group album from my collection offered up for sale: The original 1961 1st pressing of The Marvelettes album "Please Mr. Postman" released in 1961 on Tamla records 228 (mono) with the heavy vinyl and the original early single globe style yellow Tamla labels. The vinyl has only a few light marks, nothing heavy, has been a well cared for "holy grail" classic and a must for any serious record collection. Has a book value of $100-$250 (Osborne).
The vinyl grades EX, is clean and glossy, has only a few small light marks, nothing heavy, has been well cared for! Has a few faint age spots/spots of loss to gloss that don't effect play, PLAY TESTED, plays great with excellent sound quality, minimal surface noise, a couple light pops, no skips or jumps, a very enjoyable listen! One of the labels has light pen initials. (see photos)
The cover rates VG+, has bright colors with only light ring wear, minimal edge and corner wear but top corner has some wear, binder edge EX and readable, no tape, front has some light spot stains, back has some age discoloration and a sticker shadow, no signatures or writing, a well cared for 55 year old. (see all photos)
