Description

Led Zeppelin - III LP, Atlantic 2401002 1970. Rare album on Atlantic with the plum labels with some superb numbers, just as heavy as their debut but much cleaner and polished in terms of sound. Well marked and worn throughout, and given the volume of interest in this I thought I better give a really good account of how this affects play so nobody is disappointed. To begin there is a bad mark on the first track about 1/2 in which skips a few times. It looks like someone has tried to rectify a scratch or something but it hasn't worked. There is a background crackle on A4 and another quick skip towards the end of the side. Other than those issues the sound is fantastic on the a-side. The b-side starts with a handful of skips on the intro to the first track and has three loud pops on the end fade, B3 has another skip at the end and B4 has a background crackle at the start. Hopefully that will give everybody a more rounded idea. It is a shame about the skips, maybe with a proper clean etc they may disappear as the sound overall is great otherwise. Happy to combine postage at cost. Postage to Europe is £8, ROW £12.
