Description

Nominated as Best New Actress in the Critics Pole in 1954, Helen Merrill was truly a multi facted singer who could sing Jazz  like no other as some have said.  This album for sale was recorded in 1954 and produced by Mercury Records.  This is not a reissue. This is a collection of some of Helen Merrills most loved songs.  Included are; Don't Explain, You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To;  What's New;  Falling In Love With You;  Yesterdays;  Born To Be Blue;  and "S Wonderful".  Occupanied by Jimmy Jones on Piano, Clark Terry on Trumpet, Oscar Pettiford on Bass, and Clifford Brown on Trumpet, Helen records here one of her very best albums ever.  This album is in VG condition with only a few minor surface scratches.  The album cover is in Good Condition.  The top is split completely in the crease and the bottom has a smaller split.  These can be repaired by a proffessional. The cover itself has no stickers and looks very good.
