JUDY HENSKE & JERRY YESTER “FAREWELL ALDEBARAN”(STS 1052 A/B) ORIGINAL 1969 USA RARE FRANK ZAPPA STRAIGHT LP STS1052
This a very good copy of a very rare LP! Unclipped /Uncut .Please read on and do check photos and please email me with any questions.
This LP is over 50 years old. The vinyl is VG+, the whole LP has been played through this evening(24/5/2020). There are no bad scratches, jumps or bad clicks or sticks! the cover is VG too. There is minor surface noise between tracks, and a little surface noise occasionally. It to be expected given the vintage. There is a name written on the A side label. Please check photos. The hard card USA gatefold cover is in very good condition, no seam splits, I have always stored the record outside of the cover. The centre spread of the cover is genuinely, almost unbelievably,blemish and fade free, ie it’s in very good condition. On the back cover a previous owner has written his name on the top left hand corner of the top of the outside back cover, but it has faded, far more than the original artwork. There is some evidence of ring wear on the back too, and there is some spine wear. Please check the photos!
CLASSIC 1969 ORIGINAL USA STRAIGHT RELEASE STS1052 release with hard card GATEFOLD cover and those lovely original Straight labels. This multi style folk rock LP,was heralded as a classic, but sold poorly, probably because it was so eclectic and difficult to pigeonhole. Judy Henske, a formidable singer, sometimes known as the “Queen of the Beatniks” was married to partner Jerry Yester and shared a manager, the infamous Herb Cohen, with Frank Zappa. The resultant LP ended up on Frank’s Straight label. It allegedly features David Lindley, Ry Cooder, and Jerry Scheff amongst others.
