Welcome! Up for sale is this ORIGINAL 1958 USA ALBUM BY KATHY LINDEN titled "THAT CERTAIN BOY" on Felsted Records. The rigid cover is gorgeous with NEAR PERFECT Seams, Spine and Printing on the spine. NO cracks, splits or wear of any kind. The border is a gorgeous white. The front and back of the cover is Superb without any noticeable surface wear! The front colors are sharp and brilliant!
The rigid record has shimmering, blazing vinyl without scratches or scuffs. It is flat and without warp or dish! Both "DEEP GROOVE" labels are in lovely condition. Hard to believe given that the album is now 51 years old.
Her big hits on the album were "Billy" and "Oh Johnny, Oh Johnny". She is featured on the back with producer Joe Leahy and Steve Allen. Kathy Sings some "Rockabilly" along with some Standards of the time. Kathy quickly faded from professional life even though she had a tremendous voice with near-perfect tone. Very little is known of her today but she left us her legacy in the wonderful music she recorded.
The front cover with paper dolls is highly coveted in this shape and this album is rarely seen on Ebay in any shape. According to Felsted records, only 1000 albums were pressed (and mostly distributed in the New Jersey area) and of those 1000 albums, 400 were returned due to failure to sell. Kathy did very little to promote her music as she seemed content to settle into a domestic life.
