Description
Here is a great rare vintage original Velvet Underground and Nico album.
This is the rare torso cover which had Eric Emerson shown upside down above Lou Reed's head.
When Eric demanded royalties, they changed the photo. Only the first versions have him on them.
Unique Canadian back cover has song titles, credits, and alot of fascinating quotes from critics.
Cover has light ringwear, a bit of paper loss, a stained corner, and marks on the back. See photos.
Looks great.
Vinyl is visually VG+ with some hairlines. Side 1 plays VG. Side 2 plays VG+.
Low noise and soft pops in the quiet parts. "Femme Fatale" has low crackling.
Last 30 seconds of side 1, after Nico stops singing, has a ding that pops and skips forward.
It's still an enjoyable listen, but don't use a high-end needle on this.
Side 2 plays great. Low noise on "There She Goes Again".
First Canadian pressing, about ten times as rare as American and British pressings.
Label is blue Verve with silver lettering. Small print says "Manufactured in Canada by Quality Records".
Stereo V6-5008.
This is considered the beginning of alternative music.
A legendary rare piece of music history.
