WOW, WHAT A RECORD!! Here's one amazing northern soul prize! Great upbeat soul with a touch of funkiness, this LP was apparantly released around 1970 on the tiny private Harlem Sound label (apparantly an offshoot of a small recording studio in Harlem). The band consists of Raymond Alexander Jenkins, Douglas Wilkerson, Ron Mack, Holley "Buzz" Jones, Chris Bartley, Gene Walker, Quinn Lynch, Billy Gardner and George Stubbs and was produced by Lucy Williams. Every track on this one's a winner and is sure to set any dancefloor on fire! The back cover refers to the band as "The Hottest Sound Around" and that's no exagerration!! POSITIVELY PHENOMENAL!!
The album is in overall great shape! The record is virtually flawless & sounds amazing! The cover is totally intact, but there is some weakness on the bottom seam. There is also some slight ring wear on the front and some dark ring on the white back cover (which could easily be cleaned). Overall, fine condition especially for a record of such extreme rarity!
A RARE CHANCE TO OWN THIS OBSCURE BUT TREMENDOUS NORTHERN SOUL TREASURE!! DON'T MISS THIS ONE, THERE MIGHT NOT BE ANOTHER CHANCE!!
