Description

Up for bid is what has been called "the holy grail" of funk records, "Let's Talk," by Ray Alexander Technique. See pictures for song list. I have another original press of this LP for auction at the moment that is a factory sealed copy.  This is an identical original press, however this copy is an opened copy that features a sound clip from this actual LP! This is not a reissue but an original press, released by Lu Jun Productions / Harlem Sound (SA 001) in 1974. LP is a solid VG+, with several small faint scuffs. LP is extremely clean and retains a nice gloss. Interior labels are gold with a deep groove on either side. Etched matrix info reads AOZ-A / AOZ-B. There is a very slight lip warp that does not affect play. There is a small pressing defect - there are several bubbles in the vinyl in the last song on side 2 that causes a few light tics at the very end of the song. LP plays through with no skips with light surface noise (some crackle and tics). Listen to the first song on side one and the last song on side 2, from this actual LP:




Jacket is a solid VG+, with no seam splits - still in the original shrink wrap! The corners of the jacket have pierced the shrink and show light corner wear. The shrink has torn along the top and the top seam shows light wear. There is light wear along the exposed lip of the jacket. This is not a cut out item, and has no holes, notches, or cut corners. The lines you see on the front and back of the jacket are from a light crease in the shrink wrap. The coloring on the jacket is still bright. This has sold recently on Ebay for $375! Actual LP featured in this auction is shown in the included pictures. This one's a monster - don't miss this extremely rare funk gem!
