Description

VERY RARE - RICHIE HAVENS - NORTHERN  SOUL "I CAN'T MAKE IT ANYMORE/MORNING MORNING"  VERVE FORE CAST - 1967
Great version of the Spyder Turner classic. Composed by Gordon Lightfoot who never recorded it. Very rare especially in this beautiful condition. 

For the baby-boomer generation, Havens will live forever on the stage of the Woodstock Festival  where he had the honor to open the festival. 
He was born in Brooklyn where he grew up, and started singing at the age of 12 with doo-wop groups on street corners.He surfaced in the mid-1960's but before the end of the decade many rock musicians were citing him as an influence.  He embodied the spirit of the 60's espousing peace and love, hanging out in Greenwich Village and playing gigs from the Isle of Wight to the Fillmore to Carnegie Hall.  In 1993 he performed at the first inauguration of President Bill Clinton.
He passed at the age of 72 from a heart attack.
