This looks like a rare one! Imagine my surprise after looking it up on google.

The Broughams: Baby You Just Wait b/w Jeannie on Pentagon Records.

The last two of these on ebay sold for $395 and $500 according to www.popsike.com -- this copy turned up at an estate sale.

Condition:

'Baby' side: Fair amount of light paper scuffs and hairline marks, still retains very nice gloss and luster, ESPECIALLY for a 50 year old 45. I'd say VG+ since the marks are superficial. The song itself is a great rocker with a couple long guitar breaks.

'Jeannie' side: About the same VG+ ... This song is more of a teenage love ballad.

Both sides play with an average amount of background noise, considering that this is a PRIVATE PRESS FROM 1957 and their technology back then on 45 RPM's was still learning to walk. Certainly, no more than a HANDFUL of these survived the HALF CENTURY duration, and most copies were probably sold to friends or trashed at parties!!

Labels on both sides are NM-

This appears to be an original from 1957. Etched in handwriting in the dead wax: Bob Dent 45-6934-9263 and Bob Dent 45-6935-9264.

The Broughams 45 never got as much attention as The Spirals on Indigo, which books for $600 and was comped on Raging Teens Vol. 2 on Norton. This wasn't really comped commercially. These are the same songs but a different band name and an earlier version, maybe a home recording.

Definitely a private micro press, I've never heard of PENTAGON RECORDS anywhere else. I doubt you'll find another copy in this condition. The value is listed in the 2006 Rockin Records guide as $500-$1000.
