Description
Up for auction is the insanely RARE Sonic youth album, “Sister” pressed on PURPLE SWIRLED vinyl. This was originally released way back in 1987 on SST Records as SST 134. Also included is the equally elusive double-sided insert, which contains the track listing and some awesome artwork. The Richard Avedon photograph of the girl has been blacked out, and a bar code has been conspicuously placed in the empty space. The bar code has the numbers 18861-031-1. Before I owned this record, I had only ever heard rumors of its existence. It does exist; but, like a white rhino, good luck finding one.

I don’t use the MINT grade without the record being sealed in shrink wrap from the factory. That being said, I’ve never played it, and can’t find a single flaw on the vinyl. The cover is VG++ with minor corner bumps, and the vinyl and insert are NEAR MINT. I won’t break my own rules because I grade as conservatively as Rush Limbaugh. You really won’t find a better copy anywhere. You may not even find another copy anywhere. Thanks for looking. Good luck, and bid high if you really want it!
