Description
Up for sale is a rare Private Pressed UK Electronica / Experimental lp, I believe issued in the early 1970's. This copy is in great condition too!
This item is:
- Ernest Berk - Electronic Music For Two Ballets, Initiation, Op.139 & Gemini, Op.140
- A UK Private Press on the Dance Theatre Commune label
- A Numbered Edition of supposedly 100 copies only, this is number 22
- Sleeve is signed on the rear by Ernest Berk
- Plain white card sleeve with cut out image stuck on the front.
- With printed information sheet
- This copy comes with a programme of a live performance of the ballets at the South Bank in London - 22nd May 1972 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. This is a very nice addition to this set as it sheds some extra light on Ernest Berk, the ballets and the Dance Theatre Commune itself. I can't see any other copies of this lp that have had this programme present, a nice informative extra for sure.
- The record is in great shape and has seen very little play. The record grades EX+ / EX, couple of minor marks visible under a strong light only. For a private press experimental lp, the sound is pretty good!
- There's just 1 and 0 spindle marks on the labels, (please see photos), minimal signs of use.
- The sleeve is in VG+ to VG condition - some light creasing and storage wear, some handling marks. Some smudging to the signature (looks like it's signed in fountain pen). Some light age toning marks on the image on the front, it looks like this is due to the glue used to stick the image to the sleeve.
- Information sheet is in EX condition. Small fold to 1 corner
- The programme is in VG+ to VG condition - light fold mark and handling marks. Minor rusting to staples and age toning on the rear.
