Description
We offer for sale what is probably the rarest of all Stanley Brothers albums. It is King #963 and is entitled “A Collection of Original Gospel & Sacred Songs Stanley Brothers”. It contains the songs on SIDE ONE:

All songs written by Ralph Stanley and/or Carter Stanley, except for “Soldier’s Grave”.
The title on the actual album label reads “THE GREATEST COUNTRY AND WESTERN SHOW ON EARTH The Stanley Brothers”. The album label is KING #963, as is the album cover.
The album itself is in good condition and plays well, even though it does have a few minor scratches (most significant of those on side one). It has been about 5 years since I played the album and I do not recall that they caused a skip, but it is possible that they would. I no longer have a working turntable and am unable to check to see if those scratches cause any problems. The front and back of the album cover are still connected, but only at the top, and it has suffered a fair amount of wear over the years. (see pictures)
I have owned this album since the mid-1970’s and have listened to it many, many times over the years. It is a wonderful collection of songs. The only other one of these I have ever seen was in near-new condition, and it sold for over $500 a few years back.
